Well, we're back! Hybrid Habbo is back in the retro industry better then ever. I decided to take some time away from retros as I was focusing more on school. Now that I have some spare time, I've decided to get some of the management back together and re-open. New management has also been put in place to ensure professionalism.
Alright so let's get into the good stuff. Hybrid Habbo is not only under new mangement, we are also under new development. We're one of the lucky hotels to be using a "Project Baal" coded by TheJacob. He has given us the chance to use his emulator for further evaluation. We are currently using Build 1.3.5, which is the unreleased version. The "Beta" version has been released to the public, also known as Build 1.1.0. So basically we're one of the "live" hotels of this development.
For our management, we are going to hand pic staff. There are a various of reasons why we do this. For example, anyone with little experience can lie on a staff application. If you're active, helping, friendly, respectful, etc, our Administrative team will notice that you're doing so and offer you a position. Nagging about staff can result in a 2 hour ban.
We have implemented a sort of weird, but creative way to access our news system. Since we have a forum to go along with the hotel, we're trying to balance forum activity with hotel activity. So, we have posted all news on our forum. A link will be provided that's user friendly if you're not sure how to access it. In my opinion doing it this way is more neat and organized. It is encouraged that you check the forum daily for news updates for now. Right now we're developing s plugin that tells you when a new article has been posted on the forum. Also, we are working so that you can link your forum name and hotel name together for future refrences.
Alright, down to Baal Emulator feautres. The only things that I know of that aren't coded in the build we're using is wired, horses, and i think that's it. If you find anything that isn't coded, let me know. Also, if you'd like to see more in this emulator, aka features. Give me a shout and i'll refer your idea to Jacob. When you register on the hotel you get 5000 credits. Every hour you will receive 250 credits, and 1500 pixels. I might increase the range depending on how many users actually sign up an play. We are also hosted on a Dedicated Server, so yes the hotel will be on 24/7 unless there's a scheduled maintenance.
VIP. Everyone knows almost every hotel has paid subscriptions you can buy. The retro industy has changed throughout the years, and people sell subscriptions to make money. Hybrid is strictly selling them to actually pay for the dedicated server we are using because we are on a strict budget. If there's any extra funds involved, it all goes towards Hybrid. VIP isn'tavailable right now but will be soon. When purchased, you have instant access to hotel features, and forum features that no one has. VIP subscriptions will be on sale in the future.
