It Girl è il secondo brano estratto da Future History, il secondo album del cantante americano Jason Derulo. Scritto da lui stesso e prodotto da Emanuel Kiriakou è un misto di Rhythm and blues e Pop ed ha riscosso le migliori critiche per la sua ottima produzione. Il video è stato girato in una villa a Malibu. La ragazza di Derulo è interpretata da Tika Sumpter, attrice di Gossip Girl.
Giudizio finale
La canzone si apre con un fischiettio accompagnato da alcune sfumature di chitarra e un "assaggio" vocale di Derulo, che si susseguono ad un flebile sottofondo di batteria. Durante la canzone avvengono degli innalzamenti vocali seguiti da una parte strumentale di chitarra e batteria, contornata da cori. Una nota di merito va al timbro vocale di Jason, che sembra quasi voglia sfiorarti con la sua calda e passionale voce. It Girl è il solito brano Rhythm and blues stile Derulo: cori, ritmo costante di chitarra e batteria e una forte voce da affiancare agli elementi già citati.
